Over Rs1.8 million approved for cops' medical treatment
LAHORE: Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab has approved the disbursement of over Rs1.8 million for the medical treatment of employees and their families facing serious health issues.
The distribution includes Rs1 million for Head Constable Mohammad Aqeel's kidney transplant, Rs200,000 for Driver Head Constable Tariq Ali's surgery, Rs125,000 for CTD Constable Amjad Abbas' cancer treatment, Rs100,000 each for Junior Clerk M Shafique (for his wife and son), Trainee Sub-Inspector Sanam Farooq (for surgery), and retired Sub-Inspector Faiz Ahmad (for cancer treatment), Rs100,000 for Senior Traffic Warden Muhammad Khan (for the treatment of his wife and son) and Rs70,000 for Lady Head Constable Faiza Ali's surgery.
Forwards cops’ cases to relevant officers
The Inspector General Police (IGP), Punjab, Wednesday met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office (CPO) and addressed their concerns.
The IGP forwarded the seniority issue of ASI Sharafat Ali of Lahore and promotion case of Sub-Inspector Ali Akbar of Chakwal to the Additional IGP Punjab, medical financial assistance issue of Constable Mudassar Sattar to the AIG Welfare, medical treatment request of Constable Tahseen Abbas of Sargodha to the DIG Welfare, and probe case of Data Entry Operator Ghulam Abbas to the DIG Investigation Lahore.
