Orangi Muslim, Orangi United enter cricket tourney quarters
KARACHI: Orangi Muslim Cricket Club beat Sakhi Hassan Gymkhana by 74 runs and Orangi United Cricket Club thrashed Golden Gymkhana by 134 runs to secure their respective places in quarter-finals of KCCA Zone VI Daud Khan Memorial Cricket Tournament.
At Sakhi Hasssan Gymkhana Ground, Orangi Muslim CC batted first and put on board 280-8 in allotted 35 overs. Imran Taj batted well for the side scoring 113 runs. Mashood Khan captured a five-wicket haul.
In response, Sakhi Hassan Gymkhana scored 206 runs before losing all of their wickets in 29.3 overs. Imran Taj picked three wickets.
Here at Afza Ground, Orangi United Cricket Club batted first and put on board a competitive total of 264 runs before losing all of their wickets in 34.1 overs. Hassan Siddique (54) and Sharif Siddiqui (50) batted well. Asim Rao captured four wickets.
Golden Gymkhana in reply scored a paltry total of 120 runs before being bundled out in 22 overs.
