ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted 15-day protective bail to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Alia Hamza on Friday.
The IHC took up for hearing Alia Hamza’s security bail applications . Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb heard the petition. During the hearing, Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb inquired for how many days Alia Hamza had been in jail. On this, lawyer Amiya Hamza said that Alia Hamza spent 15 months and 6 days in jail. The court asked Alia Hamza’s lawyer how many days he needed. The lawyer requested to give them two weeks time. The court accepted the plea and granted a 15-day protective bail and restrained the police from arresting Alia Hamza.
The IHC ordered Alia Hamza to appear before the court concerned within 15 days.
