My gas bill for the month contains a new segment: ‘Additional Gas Supply Deposit (GSD)’. This additional GSD appears to be in addition to the existing security deposit I had paid over 32 years ago in May 1992. My gas charges are only Rs175 whereas the total bill is Rs1359. It includes metre rent, GST, fixed charges, and the aforementioned additional GSD. Is it not unjustified to enhance the security deposit via a GSD which will probably never be refunded or claimed by the consumer? The SSGC likely knows that most of our public representatives are sleeping. Please be sympathetic to the people and do not try to mint money by any means necessary.
