University students spend a day with Pakistan Army at Malir Garrison
A group of students and faculty members from various universities in Sindh spent a day with the Pakistan Army at Malir Garrison on Thursday.
The ISPR said in a statement that the students visited the martyrs' monument and offered fateha. They also observed the Pakistan Army's small and large weapons, including the Al-Khalid tanks.
The students showed keen interest in the weapons used by the Pakistan Army. They paid tribute to the Pakistan Army's sacrifices for the country's defence and reaffirmed their commitment to stand with their forces.
The students said that today they had the opportunity to see the military capabilities up close, and many misconceptions about Pakistan and the Pakistan Army were cleared. They said that they learned a lot today. They appreciated the arrangements made by the Pakistan Army, which included a display of various types of modern small and large weapons. They expressed pride in their forces, saying that the forces were defending the country with courage.
The students said that social media propaganda had caused significant harm to the country. Today, they have realised that the reality is opposite to what is presented on social media. They said that visiting the martyrs' monument and paying tribute to the martyrs made them feel sad that the sacrifices of those who laid down their lives for Pakistan were being maligned on social media.
They were briefed about modern weapons and also learned how to operate small arms. They said that today's experience with the Pakistan Army was memorable, and they had many misconceptions cleared. They said they wholeheartedly believe that the Pakistan Army is their army, and they stand with their forces.
