Police urged to upgrade security in Bannu
BANNU: The government and police were asked on Monday to increase police patrolling in the wake of rising incidents of militancy and crimes in the Bannu district.“The police must upgrade security measures and increase patrolling to contain the rising incidents of terrorism, militancy and other crimes and ensure security to the people,” Malik Sher Ali Baz Khan, the provincial leader of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), told reporters here.
He said that the district was facing a number of challenges, especially after the recent hike in terrorist attacks in different parts of Bannu.
The PkMAP leader said the police had almost stopped patrolling and this was one of the factors behind the deteriorating law and order situation in different parts of the district.
He said that more patrolling was needed in the remote and troubled towns of Bannu where terrorists and criminals were carrying out attacks.The PkMAP leader urged the district and regional police officers to take notice of the issue and order upgrading of security measures and enhancing patrol purge area of the lawless elements.
