PTI protesters seek Imran’s release
ALPURI: The activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday staged a protest demonstration in Shangla district demanding the release of former prime minister Imran Khan.
A large number of PTI workers holding banners and placards chanted slogans in favour of Imran Khan, who is incarcerated at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. Former provincial minister Shaukat Yousafzai led the protesters. The speakers said that Imran Khan was a leader of the Muslim World who was sent behind bars under a conspiracy. The protesters claimed that fake cases were registered against the former prime minister to victimize him.
Addressing the protesters, Shaukat Yousafzai said the PTI workers and supporters would not rest until former prime minister Imran Khan was released after quashing the cases against him.
