BANNU: Unidentified people have kidnapped Kamal Shah, chairman of a village council in North Waziristan, from New Adda in Bannu district.
National Democratic Movement (NDM) provincial information secretary Nadim Askar said that Kamal Shah, who is also the brother-in-law of former member of the provincial assembly (MPA) Jamaluddin Dawar, was taken by armed men from the New General Bus Stand within the jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station in Bannu.
He condemned the kidnapping and called for immediate action from state institutions to improve the security situation and ensure the safe return of Kamal Shah.
Askar emphasised that failure to address the incident would exacerbate the insecurity felt by the people.
