MANSEHRA: The residents of Pulrah and neighbouring areas have demanded the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) to end prolonged and unscheduled power outages in Tanawal on Tuesday.
“The Pesco suspends electricity supply for hours,” a former councillor, Waheed Anjum, told reporters in Pulrah.Accompanied by a group of locals, he said that they had met with Pesco officials in the district to seek their intervention to stop the extended power cuts in Sawan Mera, Lassan Nawab, Pulrah and Perhana union councils but to no avail.
“We will take to the streets on Friday If the current spate of prolonged and unscheduled power outages is not ended in Tanawal,” he warned. He said that the people could not use electric motors to pump water from tube wells and hand pumps.
