Passengers looted on motorway

NOWSHERA: Unidentified armed robbers looted passengers near the Wali Interchange on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway on Sunday.Abdul Razzaq, a resident of Swat, reported to the police that his brother Ayaz Khan, who works in Muscat, was being driven to Peshawar Airport when the incident occurred.
“As we approached the Wali Interchange, the road was littered with bananas and stones, causing a puncture in their car’s front tire. When we stopped on the roadside, two armed robbers appeared, with one accomplice standing below the motorway armed with a Kalashnikov. The robbers held us,” he said.
