ISLAMABAD: Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) Member National Assembly (MNA) from Peshawar Shahndana Gulzar has said that she would not appear before the FIA today since she would be busy in the Senate election being held in the National Assembly. She had been summoned by the FIA today (Thursday) for probe into a complaint of Punjab government regarding her allegations against Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Talking to a group of reporters on Wednesday evening in the Parliament House, Shandana said that the FIA knew about the election for Senate in the National Assembly on March 14 and it had purposefully summoned her on this day. She said she would not approach the Peshawar High Court for an injunction against the summons but ask the FIA to give her another suitable date when she would appear before it.
