A non-profit Saylani Welfare International Trust has expressed its resolve to build charitable educational facilities that can enrol a total of 10 million out-of-school children in the country.

The founder of the non-profit Saylani Welfare International Trust, Maulana Muhammad Bashir Farooq Qadri, stated this while speaking at a dinner reception held at the Tabani House on the occasion of Saylani’s Annual Symposium.

Maulana Qadri said the academic initiatives of Saylani Welfare stood for providing education as per world-class academic and skill-based education standards.

He said the graduates of the mass IT education programme of Saylani would earn up to $100 billion annually through the export of IT products and services.

He said that skill and technology-based education would go a long way in making Pakistan self-reliant in its economic needs.

The Saylani’s founder said the graduates of such modern academic initiatives would become president, prime minister, chief justice of Pakistan, and army chief in the country shortly.

He highlighted the importance of Zakat and other charitable donations for the welfare initiatives of sincere charities. He said that donations for charitable causes could be given in any amount and on multiple occasions as there was no specific instruction to set terms and conditions and regulate charitable contributions, whereas there are set Islamic principles to specify the annual Zakat contribution based on the wealth and assets of any affluent person, he said.

He said that the payment of Zakat once a year was a solemn obligation as per the Islamic principles.

The Saylani Welfare founder said the charitable donations were a blessing for the wealth and financial resources of a concerned philanthropist instead of decreasing them and also provided protection to the donor against natural calamities.

He informed the audience that the charitable works of Saylani had been launched 24 years back as per Islamic principles and had now been spread over 24 different sectors.

He expressed gratitude to the concerned donors and philanthropists for generously donating to the ever-expanding welfare activities of Saylani.

He said the mass IT education programme had helped Pakistan achieve the fourth position in the World Index of Freelancers.

Noted builder Hanif Gohar appealed to every wealthy person to generously donate to genuine charitable causes. Gohar said that he had been supporting several bona fide charitable initiatives.

He said that he and concerned philanthropists would continue to provide the fullest support to sincere charities including Saylani Welfare.

MPA Halar Wassan, who is also the son of senior politician Manzoor Hussain Wassan, said that dedicated charities like Saylani Welfare should be given the fullest support by the concerned donors not just in Ramazan but throughout the year. The lawmaker said that he would fully support the charitable works of Saylani.

The incharge of Saylani’s Educational and Technological initiatives, Afzal Chamdia, said that his non-profit had secured several outstanding achievements in the field of IT education. He said the graduates of Saylani Mass IT Education Drive had been serving in several countries.

Former CPLC chief Ahmed Chinoy appealed to the concerned donors to constantly support the charitable initiatives of Saylani that comprehensively covered several welfare areas including free meal service.

The reception was attended by several prominent businessmen and diplomats from several friendly countries, including Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates.

The reception was hosted by noted businessmen Hamza Yaqoob Tabani, Danish Aman, Shahid Malik, and Nauman Vohra.
