Bank Alfalah Nigaah Art Awards held at Mohatta Palace

Karachi: Amidst much excitement, the 3rd Nigaah Art Awards commenced. The event welcomed distinguished guests, with Mr. Ahmad Shah, President of the Arts Council of Pakistan and Caretaker Minister for Information, Minorities Affairs, and the Social Protection Department in the Government of Sindh, serving as the chief guest.

During his welcome address, Mr. Tauqeer Muhajir, the Editor and Publisher of Nigaah Art Magazine, emphasized the significance of these art awards.

The event featured various segments, including a discussion on ‘pioneering advancements in the development of art in Pakistan’ by Mr. Ahmad Shah and Ms. Nasira Zuberi, a renowned poet and author of Shagoon.

Other highlights included performances by the PNCA troupe, live painting by experienced artist Farrukh Shahab, a live auction whose proceeds will benefit art school scholarships in Karachi and poetry recital by Anwar Shaoor. Bank Alfalah served as the primary sponsor for the Nigaah Art Awards 2024.
