Over 100 hospitals’ upgrade to be completed by 31st: CM
The chief minister directed early completion of tiles installation work in the main corridor
LAHORE:Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Children’s Hospital, reviewed upgradation work and inspected the main corridor, reception counter and quality of work.
On the direction of the chief minister, upgradation work in the emergency, main corridor and other wards of Children Hospital has been expedited. Mohsin Naqvi directed to ensure quality along with undertaking preventive measures in the electricity and air conditioning wiring work. He directed to complete the wiring work in coming three days.
The chief minister directed early completion of tiles installation work in the main corridor, lauded the performance of Secretary C&W, Secretary Health and their team on undertaking swift work in the main corridor. The chief minister issued directions for early completion of the ongoing upgradation work, revealed that task for the provision of better facilities in more than 100 hospitals of Punjab would be completed by 31st January.
Secretary C&W and Secretary Health gave a briefing on the work being done under the upgradation project. It was informed during the briefing that installation of tiles and finishing work had been started.
Provincial Minister for Information Amir Mir, Secretary C&W, Secretary Health, Commissioner Lahore, Deputy Commissioner and concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Caretaker Provincial Health Minister Prof Dr Javed Akram also visited Children's Hospital Lahore and interacted with the patients undergoing treatment there.
The minister inquired about the medical facilities provided in the hospital. The patients expressed their satisfaction about the medical facilities. On this occasion, University of Child Health Sciences Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Sadiq, MD Prof Dr Tipu Sultan, contractors and related officers were present. Hospital’s MD Prof Dr Tipu Sultan and other officers briefed the minister. The caretaker minister inspected the ongoing revamping project in the hospital.
He said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, he had reviewed the ongoing construction project in the hospital. He appreciated the revamping projects in more than 100 government hospitals of Punjab.
The ongoing revamping project in government hospitals is being monitored on a daily basis and the Children's Hospital administration, XEN and all contractors have been directed to complete the ongoing construction work by January 15 at all costs.
