RAWALPINDI: The participants of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) meeting on Wednesday reaffirmed their resolve to fight the menace of terrorism as per the National Action Plan (NAP) with full support of the people of Pakistan.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Rashad Mahmood presided over the first JCSC meeting of the year held at the Joint Staff Headquarters here.The meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, secretary defence and senior military officers from the three services.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), issues pertaining to national security, emerging regional geo-strategic environment and progress of Operation Zarb-e-Azb came under discussion.The participants expressed satisfaction over the standard of preparedness of the armed forces to take on the challenges confronting the nation both on the internal and external fronts.
