LAHORE: A Chinese trade delegation on Wednesday visited the regional office of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) in Lahore to discuss the bilateral trade and economic matters between the two countries. The delegation was led by Luan Xiangjie, president of Ruzhou Foreign Trade Enterprises Association, who met FPCCI chief Irfan Iqbal Shiekh, regional chairman Muhammad Nadeem Qureshi, and other office bearers of the apex trade body, according to a FPCCI statement.
During the meeting, Sheikh highlighted the contribution of China in economic development and prosperity of Pakistan. He emphasised on collaboration between the two countries, saying Chinese investment in Pakistan in the backdrop of CPEC would improve infrastructure and energy situation of Pakistan. Nadeem Qureshi stressed on the importance of interaction between business people, expansion of trade and creation of joint ventures investment between both nations. FPCCI office bearers said the two countries could collaborate in the leather industry as Pakistan has skilled workforce and China boasts advanced technologies and an established presence in the global leather market.
