Salman Khan in trouble for damaging antiques while shooting for ‘Dabangg 3’

Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who has been currently shooting for the third installment of the hit ‘Dabangg’ franchise, in Indore, has again, landed himself into trouble.

After creating a political controversy for covering “Shivling”, sacred in Hinduism, during this shoot in Madhya Pardesh, the actor has now reportedly been served a notice by the Archaeological Survey India (ASI) ordering him and his team to remove two film sets pieces constructed inside Jal Mahal in Mandu.

The ASI has served the notice on Sunday, to the production firm of Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg 3.’

The notice warns that permission for the film’s shoot will be cancelled if the directive is not followed. According to reports, the production house was informed previously regarding the same but no action was action.

The film’s makers have also been accused of damaging an antique figurine while shooting at a fort on the banks of Narmada River in Maheshwar town. Where some heavy objects apparently hit an antique statuette and a part of it got broken.

Madhya Pardesh Culture Minister Vijaylaxmi Sadho, said, “We had given permission to shooting of Dabangg 3 in Maheshwar to highlight the tourism potential of this historic town.”

“If something went wrong during the shooting of the film, then the steps against the people concerned will be taken, the minister added.

Earlier, shooting of ‘Dabangg 3’ in Maheshwar got embroiled in a controversy when photographs of a “Shivling” purportedly being covered with wooden planks during the shoot surfaced on the social media.

Later, in clarification, Salman Khan had state that the “Shivling” was covered so to protect the idol and maintain its sanctity.

‘Dabangg 3’ will be Salman Khan and Parbhu Deva’s second collaborative project. The film is scheduled to release in December this year. 

It also stars Sonakshi Sinha in a lead role.
