Deepika's unrecognizable look from ‘Chhapaak’ will give you chills

MUMBAI: Famed Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone’s unrecognizable look as an acid attack survivor from the sets of ‘Chhapaak’ has gone viral among netizens after it got leaked reportedly. 

The ‘Padmavaat’ actress while on the shoot of her upcoming project looks incredibly different in her new avatar.

Deepika Padukone who plays Malti in her new movie ‘Chhapaak’ essays the role of an acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal.

'Chhapaak' is a real life based story of Laxmi Aggarwal, who was attacked at the age of 15 by a man including two of her friends on refusal to marry. 

After she survived the heinous act bravely, Laxmi founded an organization to stop acid sale in public market. She was bestowed with 2014 international women courage award by US first lady Michelle Obama.

Earlier Deepika sharing her first look as Malti said in her post that, the character she going to play will stay with her throughout life.

She wrote: “A character that will stay with me forver..#Malti. Shoot begins today!# Chhapaak. Releasing-10th Janauary. 2020."

Deepika on her role as a acid attack survivor has been praised immensely  from various Bollywood actors. 

Apart from Deepika, 'Chhapaak' also stars Vikrant Massey in a pivotal role.

The film will hit screens on 10th January, 2020. It is directed by Meghna Gulzar and co-produced by Deepika.
