Saif Ali Khan to play Kartik Aryan’s father, not Sara Ali Khan's in Imtiaz Ali’s next

MUMBAI: The new favourite father-daughter duo of Bollywood Saif Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan are set to hit the screens together in a most unexpected way.

The Imtiaz Ali directorial ‘Aaj Kal’ starring Kartik Aryan and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles will be the sequel of 2009 hit ‘Love Aaj Kal.’

 Rumors are making the rounds that Saif will play the father of Kartik Aryan, not Sara Ali Khan.

According to a report published in Deccan Chronicle, the ‘Omkara’ actor will be a part of Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming project and will be seen playing the role of Kartik’s dad. He is not playing Sara’s father because this is not the role a star like Saif can play, the report added.

However, no official statement has come from Saif or Imtiaz Ali confirming the news. It will surely come as a surprise to the audience if this turns out to be true.

Recently, the first look of the film released on social media surely raised the hopes of the audiences. The film is expected to be released on Valentine’s Day 2020.
