Christchurch shooting: Armeena Khan hits out at western media for using word 'terrorism' for Muslims only
Armeena Khan also called out western media's usage of the word 'die' for 49 people who lost their lives in the New Zealand mosque attacks, and went on to state that they were instead 'slaughtered in cold blood by a terrorist'.
Pakistan's highly woke actress Armeena Khan has expressed horror over the ghastly attacks on Muslims in New Zealand's Christchurch mosques.
Coming forth deeming the incident a 'mass slaughter of Muslims', the Janaan starlet said that the usage of terrorism affiliated with Muslims is extremely condemnable.
She also called out western media's usage of the word 'die' for 49 people who lost their lives in the attack, and went on to state that they were instead 'slaughtered in cold blood by a terrorist'.
"No guys, 49 people didn’t “die” they were slaughtered in cold blood by a terrorist. Terrorism isn’t just reserved for Muslims. You need to fix the wording and don’t downplay this pls," reads Armeena's tweet.
On Friday, an Australian extremist killed Muslim worshippers during Friday prayers, authorities said, in an apparently live-streamed attack that forced the New Zealand city of Christchurch into lock-down.
The attack conducted on two Christchurch mosques Friday left some 40 people dead killed and 20 others seriously injured, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said.
"It is clear that this can now only be described as a terrorist attack," she said. "From what we know, it does appear to have been well planned."
"Two explosive devices attached to suspect vehicles have now been found and they have been disarmed," she added.
