Alia Bhatt addresses marriage talk as she turns 26

Bollywood star Alia Bhatt as she marked her 26th birthday on Friday after evading marriage talks for quite some time has finally addressed the question hovering over the heads of many –When is she tying the knot?

The Brahmastra starlet finally took it upon herself to defuse the buzz regarding her marriage with Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor.

Talking to Hindustan Times, the Raazi starlet expressed her displeasure at the media not respecting the privacy of celebrities and jumping to conjectures without any affirmative ground.

“You have to understand that personal life is called ‘personal’ for a reason. In fact, that’s why not many celebs talk about their relationships. The minute you say anything, there are random pieces of news including my supposed marriage,” she stated.

Stating that owing to the season of marriage all around B-Town, people are expecting her to also jump on the bandwagon.

She went on to add: “But marriage is something that hasn’t even crossed my mind. I am not averse to it. But it’s not a part of my plan right now. I have a lot of work to do. It’s not as if I won’t work post marriage, whenever it happens. But right now, my focus is just on work. My priorities will probably shift in time. As of now, it hasn’t."
