The wife of former skipper Wasim Akram, turned to Twitter in a riveting and zealous tweet that left Pakistani cricket enthusiasts singing praises for her.
“Today some of the worlds top cricketers step on to our soil,not just to play cricket but to show the world that Pakistan is worth it!They know playing cricket with us is so much more than just a game, it’s a huge contribution to our country’s future. #WeThankYou #CricketComesHome,” she stated.
She had earlier welcomed Australian all-rounder Shane Watson as well, giving him a heads-up that the passion for cricket amongst fans is sky-rocketing as compared to his last visit 14 years ago.
