Mahoor Shahzad: first Pakistani among top 200 badminton players

KARACHI: Female badminton player Mahoor Shahzad became the first Pakistani player to reach among top 200 players in international rankings.

After 18 wins in her career and at the end of the Bahrain’s International Badminton Series earlier this month, the 22-year old is currently ranked at 192, according to Badminton World Federation (BWF) website.

Mahoor Shahzad has become the first Pakistani female badminton player to reach top 200 in world ranking.

An IBA Alumnus, Mahoor has also the honour of being the only Pakistani badminton player to get selected in the Asian Olympic Project 2020.

She is currently Pakistan no 1 badminton player and also the National Champion of Pakistan.

Earlier, Mahoor Shahzad won the Annapurna Corporate Invitational International Badminton Tournament Championships 2018 in Nepal.

She won the 2017 Pakistan International Tournament of badminton and also took part in the 2014 Asian Games and 2010 Commonwealth Games.
