Bollywood’s most-sought after couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set to tie the knot in holy matrimony by the picturesque Lake Como in Italy and the guests have already arrived at the villa the two superstars will be getting married in.

The actors who had announced their wedding on social media last month have finalised everything for their dreamy wedding in the most perfect manner, from the food, to the wedding attire and the venue too, which is definitely a  treat to the eyes.

DeepVeer, who have been in a relationship for six years, are exchanging vows at the breath-taking Villa del Balbianello in the Italian town by the lake on November 14 and 15.

Ranveer and Deepika will celebrate their nuptials  as per Konkani and Sindhi wedding traditions to pay homage to Deepika’s Kannada and Ranveer’s Sindhi heritage.

Where is Villa del Balbianello located?

The Villa del Balbianello is a villa in the comune of Lenno, Italy, overlooking Lake Como and lakeside Renaissance residence and museum, not far from the Isola Comacina and is famous for its elaborate terraced gardens.

It is described on an Italian website as: “Close your eyes. Imagine a dream made of a shining lake, breathtaking views, green romantic forest. In the heart of a flower garden stands majestically a princely villa with endless rooms, hallways where to get lost, terraces brightened by the sunlight. Open your eyes. You are no longer in a dream. You're in Lenno at Villa del Balbianello, on Lake Como.”

What makes the villa so special?

Lake Como has been a favourite among Hollywood celebrities like George Clooney, David Bowie, and Kim Kardashian to hold their wedding ceremonies at.

The scenic beauty of the villa is what attracts people to this destination.

Among the 52 properties of FAI (Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano, the National Trust of Italy), Villa del Balbianello is the most visited. More than 90,000 tourists visited the villa in 2015.

Films like Casino Royale of the James Bond series have been filmed here.

The upper floors of the villa offer spell-bounding views overlooking the hills and then gorgeous Lake Como. The property can be reached by foot or a ferry. 

The Italian magic

According to Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, celebrity weddings are attracted  because of the stunning landscapes and beauty of the country: "Italy has always been an extraordinary destination. So, who doesn't want to celebrate one of the best days in life in such a heavenly scenario?"

It was just last year that Indian cricket stalwart Virat Kohli tied the knot with actress Anushka Sharma in Tuscany, Italy, at  Borgo Finocchieto.
