Sonam Kapoor shuts down rumors of rivalry with co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan

Bollywood beauty queen Sonam Kapoor has stepped forward to clear the air of rumors declaring the star has been in rivalry with superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan.

As per Indian media reports, the ‘Khoobsurat’ actor had denied all hearsay about her being at odds with her ‘Veere Di Wedding’ co-star Kareena, affirming that she has been friends with the ‘Jab We Met’ star for the past 15 years.

“There’s no rivalry between us. In fact, Bebo (Kareena), Rhea, me and Lolo (Karisma Kapoor) have a WhatsApp group called ‘The Kapoor Girls’. We post each other’s yesteryear pictures on it. Bebo and I have been friends for 15 years,” she stated.

She went on to add that the duo have managed to prove that women can be on friendly terms while working alongside each other.

In reference to the gossips going around saying the two Kapoor actors did not get along on the sets of ‘Veere Di Wedding’, Sonam stated: “Such gossip doesn’t bother us because we are in a secure space. Bebo and I are third generation of actors (in our families) and we know how the media functions. We are great friends. We had a blast (while shooting Veere)."

Meanwhile, Sonam's sister Rhea, posted a picture on Instagram of the two actors with the caption, "And they say actresses can’t be friends."
