LOS ANGELES: The Dwayne Johnson's "Rampage" is rocking the overseas Box Office as earned $114.1 million in 61 territories. With a domestic release of $34.5 million the movie has made $148.6 million globally.
The Warner Bros and New Line video game adaptation “Rampage” made the strongest opening in China with $55 million from 21,500 screens, while in the UK and Korea it earned $5.7 million each on 907 and 895 screens, respectively. Other big markets include Mexico, Malaysia, Indonesia and Russia. The next key territories to launch will be France, Germany, and Japan. And Paramount’s “A Quiet Place” came in second internationally as well.
The film is ” a video game adaptation about a primatologist joined by a mutant gorilla to confront a civilization-threatening invasion. Targeted abroad, the movie has already scored triple the domestic take internationally (less Germany and Japan so far).
