Mahira's mother not talking to her after Zalmi eliminate Kings
After Kamran Akmal’s blistering 77 runs off 27 balls cruised Peshawar Zalmi into the finals of Pakistan Super League last night, Karachiites were in utter state of disappointment.
While the elimination of the Karachi Kings from PSL saddened many , Pakistan’s acclaimed actress Mahira Khan’s mother was part of the let down crowd as well.
The ‘Verna’ actress took to Twitter to announce her mother’s displeasure about the Kings defeat stating: “My mother isn’t talking to me!! #KKvPZ.”
In spite of being a resident of Karachi, the 33 years old actor had her approbation for Peshawar Zalmi after she got appointed as their brand ambassador. Therefore, Mahira had predictably been ecstatic about her team reaching the final.
Peshawar Zalmi’s soaring target of 171 runs had crushed the Karachi King bowlers under pressure, despite the tough fight put up by the Kings.
Zalmi’s team led by Darren Sammy will battle for the title against Islamabad United, who has had the winning title in the first season of the league.
The final match of the series will be held on Sunday, March 25th at the National Stadium in Karachi.
