LAHRE: Toss has been delayed due to wet ground at the Gaddafi Stadium where the second Eliminator will be played between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi.
The outfield is still wet and two helicopters have been engaged in drying process.
The umpires will inspect the pitch again at 7-30 pm which means the match is likely to be delayed.
However, the ground has not yet been handed over to the match referee, which means the drying process is still ongoing.
Throughout the day there has been downpour of light showers. The first eliminator match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi on 21st March also began late owing to the weather forecast and ended in a dramatic win for Zalmi.
If there is no further rain, the Lahoris are likely to have a full game.
Shahid Afridi and Imad Wasim will not play for Karachi Kings today as they are still injured. Eoin Morgan is also not available as he did not travel to Lahore.
Karachi Kings will therefore be led by Mohammad Amir in today’s match.
