MUMBAI: The uncalled demise of Bollywood’s first female superstar Sridevi came as a shock to the global community.
It was something that her family and friends were not expecting at all which is why in order to pay tribute to his beloved wife, ace filmmaker Boney Kapoor announced that he will make a documentary - along with Shekhar Kapoor - based on Sridevi, highlighting her lifelong service to the Indian cinema.
The documentary will be aimed at dispelling any rumors and fallacies surrounding the superstar’s death and will include the rarest of footages associated with Sridevi.
‘It will be a kind of one-stop visual legacy on her life and cinema, with the rarest of rare footage and voices of everyone who mattered in her life.’
Sridevi had worked exceptionally to redefine the role of women in the Hindi film fraternity. She proved that heroines alone can garner success to a film, without the presence of a male protagonist per se.
