Apple employees are running into glass structures, reveals 911 records
While the design of the campus is a feat of its own, it is also being called out for its hazards of excessive curved glass structures that are now responsible for causing minor injuries to architect
Apple employees are walking into glass surroundings in Apple Park and now it’s on record as complaint calls are being made to 911. This isn’t because the employees are blind or too overworked to look ahead while walking but because of a reason that was long before anticipated.
While the design of the campus is a feat of its own, it is also being called out for its hazards of excessive curved glass structures that are now responsible for causing minor injuries to architects.
Three calls were received by 911 by people who had walked into glass walls and doors in the company’s Apple Park campus.
One employee after running into the glass window received a little cut on his eyebrow with seeping blood. One eyewitness even said that it would need stitches.
Another one, aged 23, walked into a glass door and hit his head.
In solution to the problem, the employees even started putting post-it notes to stop people from bumping into the walls. But the idea made the office look very messy so it was brought down.
Having opened up last year, with an employee workforce of 12,000 people, the place is home to a huge 2.8 million square foot ring that is entirely made of curved glass.
