A burger point in California has stepped into the future by substituting the restaurant’s chef with a robot.
The industrial robotic arm called Flippy went into testing several months prior by the CaliBurger chain and was built-in with a six axis robotic arm equipped with a spatula.
The machine designed by Miso Robotics has started working in conjunction with humans at CaliBurger in Pasadena. The robot is not only qualified to flip patties on the grill but also removing and placing them on buns when they’re ready.
Flippy is lauded for flipping up to 300 burgers an hour, all of which are attested to be cooked impeccably.
Thermal, 3D and regular cameras have also been placed in the restaurant which are used by Flippy’s human co-workers to monitor the process of each burger.
