Delhi court to hear complaints against Bollywood film 'Newton'
Last year’s hit Bollywood film ‘Newton’ is the talk of town once more but for not the best reasons. The film has managed to anger a bunch of people for slandering the image of the police force.
Reports have revealed that the Amit V Masurkar directed film has been accused of civil defamation for tarnishing the image of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
The Karkardooma court in Delhi will hear the complaint on April 3rd.
The complaint was filed by a sub-inspector in Delhi court where a specific scene was described that depicts the arrival of a polling party in a village’s CRPF campus and makes a night stop there for polls.
The 2017 released film was the official entry of India for the Oscar’s Best Foreign Language Film category, however, it failed to make the cut.
