‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ receives UN Environment recognition
The film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha that is much in headlines since the beginning received another achievement from the UN Environment, making it noticeable once again.
With the Facebook post by the UN Environment for appreciating the issue that is tackled in a film, has been a phenomenal journey for the actors.
The film that is inching towards making 100 Crore at the Box Office is loved and cherished by the audience.
Akshay Kumar has given another hit in the year 2017 where the other Bollywood releases couldn’t do much.
UN Environment took to their Facebook page and posted a short clip of the film with an appreciation status for the actors stating, “Open defecation is a health and environmental concern that touches nearly a billion lives. In Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, Ashay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar are addressing this global issue to spread awareness and spark action.”
The leading actress in the film, Bhumi took to twitter and shared the screenshot of the post and tweeted, “Thank you for recognising our contribution to this crisis @UN & @UNEP. We pledge to make our world open defecation free @akshaykumar.”
