KARACHI: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced the names of the manager and three coaches for the training camp for national junior players who would be selected after two-day open trials on July 27 and 28.
Mansoor Ahmed is the new manager while coaches are M Usman Sheikh, M Saqlain and Rehan Butt.
It is pertinent to mention that all four have captained Pakistan's national team.
Players born on and after January 1 1998 are eligible to appear in the open trials to be held at three centres simultaneously on July 27 and 28.
Players from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad will have to take trials at Mardan centre. Selectors at the centre will be Imtiaz Afridi, Imran Khan, Ehsanullah and Shaukat Ali.
Players from all over Punjab will have take trials at Lahore centre. Tahir Zaman, Maqsood Hussain and Imran Butt will select the players from Lahore centre.
Sindh and Balochistan players will have to take trials at Karachi centre. Selectors here will be Qamar Ibrahim, Mohammad Ali and Mohammad Anees.
