Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ gets unprecedented limelight in China
MUMBAI: Amir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ received an opening movie notch in the non-competing panorama section of the 7th Beijing International Film Festival that occurred last Sunday.
Dangal notably is the first Bollywood movie to get unprecedented limelight, after since the straining of Indo-China relationship due to Dalai Lama controversy. Aamir Khan shared a simple message on international co-productions at the Beijing International Film Festival (BIFF): “A good character and a good story can help you cross borders.”
Aamir Khan who has not stopped giving back to back hits from ‘3 Idiots’ to ‘PK’ is doing wonders, Liu Yifei Chinese actress took to the stage to express: “I really wish to work with you in the future.” To which Aamir Khan replied, “I would love that!”
Khan’s new account on China’s twitter like app, Weibo has carved up to 220,000 fans and his first welcome comment on it was liked some 30,000 times.
Aamir Khan along with director Nitish Tiwari will also visit Shanghai and Chengdu to promote his film.
The film will open in China on May 6.
