Movie Review: Split--23 personalities, eluded science and a trusted therapist

This 2017 new release, split of M. Night Shyamalan has taken over the film industry by storm. Shyamalan is notable for making movies with modern day supernatural plots like Sixth Sense, Unbreakable etc.

The story is followed by a content horror and thrill of a character, Kevin played by James McAvoy possessing miscellaneous personality disorders which have been captivating science for over the years. To satisfy his urge for personality disorder, he abducted girls and tortured them uninterruptedly. The required character of the movie, Kevin’s therapist, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley), the specialist of dissociative personality disorder subconsciously knew about Kevin’s 24th personality, which was to be exceptionally alarming.

The small uptight scenes in the movie made it very enthralling. Critics have claimed that the climax could have been more appropriate but it has still obtained a rating of 7.5 on IMDB. This McAvoy flick is a must watch for anyone who would prefer watching full fledged horror-thrillers. Anya Taylor-Joy, being another important role to the film is seen as the victim of Kevin’s disorder, tries to manipulate Kevin to escape the prison along with her abducted fellows.
