DUBAI: West Indies allrounder Kieron Pollard smashed successive sixes off the final two balls to record a thrilling win over Lahore Qalandars in the 18th Twenty20 match of the Pakistan Super League 2017 here at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
Chasing a modest total of 156, Karachi Kings completed the sensational five-wicket victory in exact 20 overs.
Pollard remained not out on 45, scored off 20 balls with four sixes and a four while Imad Wasim hit an unbeaten 19 off 14 balls with a six and two boundaries. Both added 55 runs from 28 balls for an unbeaten sixth wicket stand.
However, the top scorer was opener Babar Azam who made 49 off 42 balls with seven fours.
Earlier, Lahore Qalandars were restricted to 155 for six after being sent into bat by Karachi Kings.
Mohammad Rizwan top scored with an unbeaten 32 from 24 balls, followed by skipper Brandon McCullum ( 31) and Umar Akmal (20).
For Karachi Kings, spinners Shoaib Malik and Usama Mir grabbed two wickets each for 21 and 38, respectively.
