MELBOURNE: Pakistan cricket team captain Misbah-ul-Haq spoke highly of his team ahead of their second Test match against Australia and claimed that the green shirts could 'make the impossible possible'.

Pakistan cricket team arrived at their hotel in Melbourne on Tuesday. Captain Misbah-ul-Haq said that after the dismal performance in the first innings of the first Test match, Pakistani players' confidence had been restored.

"The confidence of the players has been restored. We can make the impossible possible," he said.

Misbah looked confident regarding facing Australia again at Melbourne, saying that the conditions would be favourable for Pakistan.

"Haven't thought about changing the team combination for the match," he said.

Pakistan gave a tremendous fightback to Australia in the second innings of the first Test match at the Gabba, after a century by Asad Shafiq almost powered the tourists to chase down an imposing 490-runs target given by the Aussies to Pakistan.

Though Pakistan lost the match to Australia in the end, the heroic comeback by the team as well as a stellar century by Asad Shadiq, garnered praise from cricket fans and commentators.
