MIRPUR: Dhaka Dynamites defeated Rajshahi Kings by 56 runs to clinch Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) title in front of a full house in Mirpur on Friday.
Dhaka Dynamites scored 159 for 9 after Rajshahi Kings won the toss and invited them to bat first.
Chasing down 160, Rajshahi Kings were eventually bowled out for 103 in 17.4 overs.
This is the third triumph for Dhaka franchise in four BPLs, with the Gladiators having won in the 2012 and 2013 editions.
Kumar Sangakkara of Dhaka Dynamites scored 36 runs facing 36 balls to lift Dhaka to 159. He was declared man of the match.
