KARACHI: Pakistan's all-rounder Anwar Ali has signed a contract with Bangladesh Premier League franchise Rangpur Riders for remaining matches of the season.
Anwar, who has represented Pakistan in 22 ODIs and 16 T20Is, will be available to the team in second phase which starts today, and is likely to play Rangpur's game in Chittagong today against Barisal Bulls.
Talking to Geo, prior to his departure to Bangladesh on Wednesday, Anwar said that playing in BPL is a good opportunity for him to prove himself.
"All top players are there, I hope to perform according to expectations and prove myself to the selectors back home," Anwar said.
"As a player, my job is to perform wherever I'm playing and that's what I'm looking to do in Bangladesh during the BPL," he added.
