ABU DHABI: Captain Azhar Ali and young Babar Azam hit magnificent centuries helped Pakistan set another difficult target of 309 runs for the West Indies in the third and final One-day International here at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Wednesday.
Batting first after winning the toss, Pakistan made 308 runs for the lossw of six wickets in the 50 overs.
Azhar became the first Pakistan ODI captain to score three hundreds whereas Babar Azam became only the third Pakistan batsman to score hundreds in three successive ODI innings.
Azhar scored 101from 109 balls while Babar made 117 off 106 balls, both hit eight fours and a six each.
Azhar added 147 runs with Babar for the second wicket after making 85 with Sharjeel Khan (38) for the opening wicket partnership.
Sarfraz Ahmed scored an unbeaten 24 and Mohammad Nawaz remained not out on four.
Among others, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Rizwan and Imad Wasim could make 5, 4 and 4, respectively.
For the West Indies, pacer Alzarri Joseph took two wickets.
