Indian celebs fall prey to 'surgical strike' falsehood

NEW DELHI/ISLAMABAD: As India falsely claimed conducting surgical strikes against Pakistan, which in reality, was nothing more than unprovoked shelling across the Line of Control, Indian celebrities (mostly from Bollywood) took to Twitter and thanked their army for conducting action against 'terrorists' in Pakistan.

Talk about delusion and that too, on a massive scale. Without any sort of proof or evidence, the Indian DGMO on Thursday claimed that the country's armed forces had conducted surgical strikes inside Pakistan, which was vehemently denied by the ISPR. The ISPR claimed that only two of its soldiers had been martyred in an attack across the Line of Control and that India had not conducted surgical strikes but resorted to unprovoked shelling only.

Indian celebrities, just like the country's media and masses, fell victim to the 'surgical strike' propaganda and tweeted in favour of their army for fighting 'terrorists' in Pakistan. Here are some tweets by Indian celebrities in favour of their army and against Pakistan:-

Footage of Pakistani soldiers was doing the rounds of various television channels, which clearly showed Pakistani shelling destroying Indian check-posts. However, India is yet to substantiate its claim of conducting surgical strikes inside Pakistan, either with video or photographic evidence.
