KARACHI: Former captain Wasim Akram Saturday said wicketkeeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed should lead the Pakistan ODI side instead of Azhar Ali, after Pakistan lost the second game at Lords on Saturday.
Sarfraz Ahmed became the first Pakistan player to score a one-day international hundred at Lord´s as the tourists fought back after a dramatic collapse against England.
The former pacer criticized the Pakistan team for what he said playing cricket of 90s, and said “If it hadn’t been for Sarfaraz Ahmed, Pakistan would have collapsed before scoring 125”.
“Even 290-run target is easily achievable these days,” he said.
