QUETTA: Two more patients were diagnosed with Congo virus in Balochistan on Friday, as the continuous spread of the virus in the province caused alarm throughout the country.

According to hospital sources, both patients are out of danger.

Two more patients have been admitted into the hospital on suspicion of contracting Congo virus. Blood samples of the patients have been collected and sent to the concerned laboratory for final results.

Health experts have advised citizens to take precautionary measures during Eid-ul-Azha season while standard disease control precautions must be put into practice by the healthcare workers dealing with patients.

As of now, twelve people have died due to Congo virus out of the total twenty-seven that have been infected with it in Quetta alone.

With Eid-ul-Azha just around the corner, cattle markets have been set up across the country so extraordinary measures should be taken for the safety of the general public visiting these cattle markets.
