LAHORE: The blacklisted US citizen Matthew Barret has been deported from Pakistan.
He was brought to Lahore from Islamabad last night from where he was deported on PIA flight PK711.
Matthew Barret had arrived in Pakistan after obtaining a visa on false information.
Earlier this month, FIA along with Islamabad Police conducted a raid at a guest house and detained Barrett who had been expelled from Pakistan in 2011 on suspicion of spying.
The raid was conducted after it was learned that the US citizen had returned to Pakistan.
Two officials at the Islamabad Airport were also suspended for allowing Barrett to enter the country despite his name being on the blacklist.
The incident was a result of a personal enmity, says home minister
