LONDON: Pakistan Test cricket captain Misbah-ul-Haq said on Sunday that it was not easy to reach a decision regarding his retirement.

The Pakistan cricket team captain made the comments following his team's comprehensive victory over hosts England. Misbah said that it was not easy to make a decision about retirement.

"It's never easy to take a decision regarding the future," said the skipper.

As Misbah's side beat hosts England in the fourth and final Test match at The Oval, Pakistan were able to retain their third spot in the world Test rankings. Better yet, Misbah-ul-Haq walked away with Pakistan's Man of the Series award for his stellar batting display.

The skipper was also all praises for veteran batsman Younis Khan, whose double century in the second innings proved to be instrumental in Pakistan's victory over England.

"Younis Khan is a champion cricketer," said Misbah. "He knows how to play and what is required of him under any sort of situation."

Misbah was also all praise for the Pakistan cricket team as he said that the current team had given him a lot.

"This team has always silenced critics and given a lot to me," he said. "Watching them play impressively kept me going as well," he added.

He also said that whatever decision he takes would be in the best interests of the Pakistan cricket team.
