Dylan Sprouse makes hilarious 'baby pet monkey' confession as new dad

Dylan Sprouse is sharing insight into his new chapter of fatherhood as a newly minted parent with wife Barbara Palvin.

A day after the Suite Life of Zack and Cody alum and his Victoria Secret model wife announced the birth of their baby daughter, Dylan revealed the little one’s name on his and Brendan Columbus' Wildmen podcast.

Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin have named their daughter Sylvie.

The actor shed some light on his life as a newly minted father, saying, “There's moments when I look at Sylvie, and I'm like, 'This is the coolest thing ever'.

"She's looking at me and her eyes are opening. She's got a small wake window during the day and she's looking at me and she smiles or something and it's the cutest thing."

However, Dylan admitted that welcoming a baby comes with a bunch of responsibility and parenthood is not always a bed of roses.

He explained, "Ninety percent of the time right now, it's like having a baby pet monkey.

"It is having a pet monkey because she is chirping and making noises and pooping and farting and burping and hiccupping. It's like having a really poopy little animal."

All in all, Dylan is on cloud nine after becoming a girl dad and he noted that he is “not sure” if he would be as delighted as he is now if he and Barbara had a boy.

"I got to tell you, I did not expect to like this as much as I do, dressing her up in little fits, dude.

"She's so cute. And I'm not sure that I would think like that if I had a baby boy. You'd be thinking differently. You'd be like, 'Ah man, a little pooper.'

"I'm looking at baby Sylvie and I'm like, 'That's the cutest little thing I've ever seen in my life'. I got this bonnet for her. Dude, I love it. It was so cute."

For those unversed, Dylan and Barbara got married in 2023. They welcomed their baby girl, on September 7 and announced the happy news on social media on Monday.
