Sir Rod Stewart bids ‘farewell to life on the road’ with final tour shows

Sir Rod Stewart has announced his final tour after a career spanning more than six decades.

The legendary rocker will take to the OVO Hydro on Thursday, April 29 next year as part of his Final Encore tour.

Sir Rod will kick off the tour six days earlier at Dublin’s 3Arena before playing dates at The O2 in London, Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam and Uber Arena in Berlin, among other shows.

Tickets will be available starting with the Fanclub presale beginning Tuesday, September 29, followed by local presales across the markets.

Any remaining tickets will be made available to the public during the general sale starting Friday, October 2.

The 81-year-old said the time had come to say “farewell to life on the road” and that the tour will “most definitely” be his last.

Last month, he cancelled the remainder of his 2026 US tour after undergoing heart surgery.

He said at that time, “I’ve been singing the music I love since I was 19 years old, and I’ve had the privilege of taking it around the world to all of you. It has given me a life beyond anything I could ever have imagined, and I hope I’ve given you some fond memories in return.”

“So, may I take this opportunity to thank you for making this extraordinary life possible. I hope you’ll join me so I can thank you the best way I know how…with the music and one hell of a show. See you there,” Sir Rod Stewart concluded as he assured fans he would return but for the final time.
