Lady Gaga and fiancé Michael Polansky welcomed their daughter, Rose Bean Polansky, on June 9, 2026.

A source has now revealed that "Rose" was inspired by La Vie En Rose, the classic song Gaga famously covered in A Star Is Born, per People

Gaga also has a large tattoo along her spine featuring a rose and the phrase "la vie en rose."

As for her daughter's middle name, Bean is believed to reference activist Carl Bean, who inspired Gaga's hit song Born This Way.

Sources close to the singer say Gaga is thrilled with new motherhood,

“She always wanted to be a mom. This was something very important to her,” the insider close to the 16-time Grammy winner told People.

She reportedly planned to "slow down" after wrapping her tour in April and has been enjoying time away from the spotlight to bond with her daughter. Insiders say Polansky is also doing "great with the baby."

“Right now, she’s enjoying being away from the public eye and having this special time with the baby,” the source continued. “Michael is great with the baby. They’re figuring everything out together. She doesn’t want to miss any of it.”

Gaga and Polansky's relationship dates back to a New Year's Eve party in 2020, and they went public with their romance shortly after.

The couple got engaged in 2024, which Gaga confirmed publicly during the Paris Olympics. Polansky, an entrepreneur, also collaborated with Gaga professionally, co-producing and co-writing several songs on her 2025 album "Mayhem."
