King Charles letter causes more harm in any peace talks Prince Harry is willing: 'Malicious intent'

A royal expert believes that King Charles letter, issued to clarify Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal status following their return to Britain, has caused more harm than good in any peace talks the Duke is willing to have with his estranged family.

Speaking to the Fox News Digital, royal expert Ian Pelham Turner says, "My personal opinion on the decision by King Charles to make public a letter conceived by the Lord Chamberlain to reiterate that Harry and Meghan were not working royals was an act of malicious intent initiated by those intending to disrupt their return.”

The royal expert advised Meghan and Harry following the letter, "The message was unjustified," however, "I hope Harry and Meghan will not rise to the bait and retaliate but calmly move on."

However, another royal expert Helena Chard said, "King Charles' narrative is decisive as he draws a line in the sand — nothing new here, no more discussion required.”

Chard went on saying, "I'm sure the Sussexes expected flexibility. Prince Harry may be the king's son, but he lacks power to amend and dictate the monarch's statement."

Harry and Meghan’s spokesperson said they are surprised by the letter sent on behalf of King Charles clarifying that they were no longer working members of the royal family and that they would remain private citizens.
